WasteExpo 2025 Returns to Las Vegas with Focus on Waste Tech and Circular Economy
According to WasteExpo’s official website, WasteExpo 2025, North America’s largest trade show dedicated to solid waste, recycling, organics, food waste recovery, and sustainability, will return to the Las Vegas Convention Center from May 6 to 8, with conference programming starting May 5. The event is expected to attract thousands of professionals from over 100 countries, with more than 600 exhibitors showcasing the latest technologies, solutions, and trends shaping the future of waste management.
Industry Leadership Forum: Eight Tracks Addressing Critical Challenges
Per the published agenda, the conference will feature eight educational tracks covering Operations, Fleet & Safety, Recycling & Landfill, Sustainability Talks, Business Insights & Policy, Technology & Innovation, Food Recovery Forum and Organics Recycling. These sessions will unite industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to exchange solutions and share best practices.
A keynote CEO Spotlight Session will host GFL Environmental’s Patrick Dovigi in dialogue with NWRA’s Michael E. Hoffman on sustainable business expansion strategies. Municipal smart technology applications, textile waste solutions, and corporate culture's operational impact are also highlighted in the schedule.

In partnership with the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), WasteExpo 2025 will offer over two days of hands-on training courses. These courses are designed to equip attendees with certifications in high-demand topics such as hazardous waste management, recycling best practices, and environmental compliance.
Capital Markets Eye EPR Policy Shifts at Investor Summit
The Waste360 Investor Summit, marking its 10th anniversary, will dissect Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations’ industry impacts. The summit will bring together top financial leaders to discuss current trends in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and the growing importance of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) within the circular economy.
Industry Recognition: Awards Gala and Upcycled Fashion Showcase
WasteExpo also revealed the May 5 opening reception at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, followed by NWRA’s Awards Gala at Fontainebleau Las Vegas honoring innovators. Throughout the week, WasteExpo will host several recognition and community-driven events. The Waste360 Awards will honor leaders under 40 and outstanding women in the industry, while Waste360 TRASHION: a Recycle, Reuse, ReFashion Show will highlight creative, sustainable fashion made from upcycled materials. Additionally, the EREF’s Annual Charitable Auction and Silent Auction will raise funds for vital scientific research into resource management.
